Environmental Awareness:

With the aim of creating awareness among students about environment, rules & laws regarding environment pollution and protection and about social problems like AIDS etc., the University of Pune introduced a six month compulsory course in ‘Environmental Awareness’ at S.Y.B.A & S.Y. B.Com in 2004-2005.

Students have to pass the examination in this course in order to obtain a degree certificate from the University.They can clear this course in the Third Year if they remain absent or fail the examination in S.Y. B.A. & S.Y. B.Com.

  2. Out of that two subjects are Compulsory English & Marathi.
  3. You have to choose four remaining subjects from the following :

  1. Those who wish to select English as Special subject for SY & TYBA they have to select Additional English for first year compulsorily.

  1. You have to choose seven papers
  2. Compulsory English & Environmental Awareness is Compulsory Subjects.
  3. For remaining five papers you have to select one subject for special level that includes three papers 1. General Paper 2. Special Paper I 3. Special Paper II
  4. You have to take care of that your special level subject was studied in FYBA.
  5. You have to select any two papers other than special level subject for general papers out of following subjects :- a. History b. Geography c. Economics d. Psychology e. Additional English f. Marathi

Environmental Awareness
